  • Product Description:

This chondrogenic differentiation medium kit is suitable for MSCs from different sources (e.g., ADSCs, UC-MSCs, BMSCs). Under induction, MSCs differentiate into chondrocytes. Alcian Blue staining shows acidic mucopolysaccharides in cartilage, indicating chondrogenic differentiation.

  • Q: After differentiation using the chondrogenic induction medium, is the resulting cartilage hyaline cartilage or fibrocartilage?
    A: Theoretically, it is fibrocartilage.

Q: Can the gelatin coating solution provided in the differentiation induction kit be recycled and reused?
A: Generally, recycling is not recommended. However, if the customer has a limited amount of coating solution, it can be reused, but no more than three times. Aseptic technique must be maintained during the process. We also sell gelatin solution separately (Catalog No. KC010643), which can be purchased individually.

Q: Is sealing (coverslipping) required after chondrogenic induction staining?
A: After the chondrogenic induction and result detection, Alcian Blue is used to stain the sections, and the stained results are recorded by photography. At this point, the cells are already dead and are generally not used for any other purposes. Therefore, coverslipping is not required.

Q: How many days are needed for chondrogenic induction?
A: Our internal test results show that with this product, relatively large and deeply stained spots can typically be observed under the microscope after 15 days of induction.
